some are low but its more realistic than every good new album that comes out getting a 4.3 average on sput, obv our userbase is younger and theres a lot of troll voters so i reckon rym ratings are much more accurate overall

alot of their ratings get brought down specifically because of their place on the charts in any given particular year,
whereas i dunno if charts come into play as much here
i mean i certainly don't ever use 'em but thats probs not representative of the rest of the userbase

think Ziggy Stardust and A Love Supreme and Black Saint etc are over 4.3. the ratings are better there, partly due to more people voting and the site seeming more diverse.
but they do shit on new music. if something new is rated highly, there seems an element of people there who will listen to it purely to tell everybody else why it's actually shit.
