I was (pleasantly) surprised they were even on the Laneway bill. Thought they may have got too big for it.

The difference with Lorde & Chvrches though was that Laneway booked them either before or just as they were about to break big. I was reading an interview about them booking Lorde and how they were lucky because if they had tried to do it just 1-2 months later, they would have had no chance. As per usual, Laneway's foresight has been top notch.

yea fair call that

lorde was really great too

didn't to to chvrches cos they clashed with something else but apparently they only played one song anyway cos their gear got fried by the harsh adelaide sunshine :[

Yeah, our weather in Melbourne has been bad enough, but Radelaide has been worse... or better, depending on which way you look at it.

Well, during the DAY at my JOB, I write reviews. Haha. In truth, not always, but then there's the commute to & from work that also assists.

well put it this way davey, the day after we broke the record for most 40+ days in a summer, we had our wettest day since 1974

not sure how to feel about that

on topic jammed some more of this in the car and it's startin to grow a little

Ouch. We've hardly had any rain this month (he states as a thunderstorm whips through). I think this is the 2nd time we've seen rain in Feb. But yeah, that week of 40s was crazy here as well.

I listened to this album enough over the past 3 weeks to know that it will grow. I also found that it is more suited to listening out loud (car, pc, etc...) than on headphones, for whatever reason.

dark storm ep omg.

Look of love is a very good song. I'm still slightly disappointed by the album, but I realize that I

would be pretty happy with it, if I didn't have such high expectations for them.

Start at the very beginning Joshie. If you begin here, you may dispose of them promptly.

Yeah, I'd start with Dark Storm but anywhere except this is equally good.

I think hearing that kind of indie-pop sound from their debut EP only helps to accentuate the growth of 'Dark Storm'.

Yeah their first EP doesn't do a great deal for me but man Hurt Me is amazing. I think chucking drums like that into your first song after a standard indie pop debut took some giant balls
