i mean obviously i need to give it more than one listen but i cant think of any album that has hit me this hard from beginning to end
mark kozelek can write about the most mundane shit imaginable and give it more meaning than 99% of songwriters could ever give to any song

The first time I heard Benji was such a visceral experience and I doubt I'll ever feel as strongly about a piece of music as I did when I first heard Benji. I literally cried listening to it, which hasn't happened to me before and it might not again. It is still a fantastic album on repeated listens, but I envy anyone who hasn't heard the album yet.
It's werid that I don't really like any of Mark's other material ( I haven't heard the new album yet).
