"everything electronicore bands have been trying to do for the last 8 years was done in that song"
Pretty Much. Sometimes I think they fluked it, but who cares... Song rules.

fortunately Woe, Is Me broke up
what I don't get is why these guys don't drop their harsh vocalist

"Who, what's this about new Emery? I'm about to abandon all other pending reviews & begin writing that one now."
They said a couple weeks ago that they're finishing up writing a new album with Devin and it'll be out later this year

Abandon All Ships: Macchiato

They won't drop Angelo until their label forces them to.

Album Rating: 2.4
My guess is that Angelo is basically the foundation of the band. I don't think he plays an instrument, so if they've kept him around this long, I can't see him departing. Also, I think he's of Italian heritage & just look at the influence: The album title here is an Italian word, while there was spoken Italian (from his mum?) on their debut EP.
Of course, if they were English, they might have gone the Deaf Havana & We Are The Ocean route.
Emery... with Devin... I need to go ask Lord Sputnik to enable that 5.5 rating option.

Attack Attack Someday Came Suddenly, whether you enjoy it or not, changed the face of metal and made certain things and experimentation acceptable. So whether you like it or not I think its influence can't be denied.

hahahah original and funny

You know it's gonna be an absolute piece of shit when Capture the Crown are in the recommended section.

So it was Attack Attack! that made Metallica redundant. I'll keep that in mind when I go on a reviewing rampage of modern metal albums.

slightly better, these guys sound like they're in the realm of giving a fuck now
but not quite listenable
|

one of the worst bands in existence right now

Album Rating: 2.4
There are much worse bands out there.
"Slightly better, but not quite listenable". Hmmm, another summary option to mess with people's minds.
Hey, for any Canadians out there, what was that reality show that these guys were a part of like? If AAS were on it, does that mean they concentrated on heavier acts, or was there just a whole range of bands on there?
|
| |
iirc, AAS were the only heavy band on the show disBanded. there was a variety of bands that auditioned to be on the show. the show produced most notably these kids wear crowns, stereos, and these guys and then a couple of other bands that faded into obscurity. any band who's willing to give it a shot could audition for the show.

so far this is alright but the metalcore parts are the weak links (as usual) and it's not as catchy as Infamous
|
| |
Ehhh, Infamous was really really bad imo

I prefer it to Geeving but that's mostly cos of the first two tracks on the album which I admittedly
love
|
| |
Geeving had so much potential, seems like they're hell-bent on squandering it throigh

Album Rating: 3.5
if they got rid of the metalcore they could write such fun party tracks
