i mean a band is only as good as the music it puts out and if one album isn't good then why should people care about it?

yet you cant think of even 1 example. also you act as if the entire internet didnt blow up over sunbather. also ITAOTS

came out in the 90s and is one of the most recognized underground/indie whatever albums 15+ years later so i really

dont see the point youre tryna make

"the point isn't if the album is good, the point is that Sputnik tends to grab hold of an album, rate it to high hell, then forget they ever existed a year later."

For the most part, I think this only really happens when a popular band releases an album that isn't as well received as their others. Defeater comes to mind.

"Ehhhh I just don't see many people being in a rush to listen to whatever the put out next. I'm probably wrong but that's just what I'm feeling"

Roads to Judah was instrumental in the hype leading up to this. I don't see why the success of this record would kill the hype for their next.

I don't know if you saw my response on the main review thread, but basically I said that I liked your review, it's entertaining. But I don't understand your honest opinion on it at all, especially with that list of ratings you ended your review with lol. Though I'm guessing it's pretty much just apathy and you were just making fun of the extreme reactions of sputnikers. If so well done

@talons first off, the stupid ratings thing at the end was from an old slayer review and became somewhat of a sputnik

meme, it was in kill's periphery review also and a couple other joke reviews. as for the review, yeah i was basically just

poking fun at the extreme reaction this got from both people who loved it and hated it, although it does contain a bit of

my personal opinion, just under the guise of a crazy joke review. just felt like writing something tbh

lol are you saying that praise and hype are entirely unique to sputnik?

You know, this album wasn't only critically acclaimed on here. Critics everywhere gave it near universal acclaim. Some albums hype and acclaim are very unique to sput, but this isn't one of them.
