Whole album is catchy as hell.

But it mostly lacks substance. I thought it was enjoyable for a while but it grew off.

To each their own, I've always been a fan of Danger Mouse's production, love James Mercer's voice and this has enough melodic hooks the whole album could be in Latin and I'd still dig it.

I adore James, but just can't get into this collab much

Pretty sure they're basically defunct at this point. Seeing as Mercer is the only original member left. And they've only released one album since 07. And apparently they haven't done a live show in two and a half years (at least, according to setlist.fm).

This is more of a 3.2 - 3.3 for me. But it's good. Been listening to a lot lately. The atmosphere is one of my favorites of an album. The first four tracks really stand out but the rest of the album falters a bit. Still a fun listen, nonetheless.

I find the album to be pretty scattered, and a bit more derivative than Id like on some tracks (The Bee Gees come to mind).
Any album with Perfect World on it is already a minimum 3 tbh.

I still believe that this is a criminally underrated record. Catchy from front to back.

I feel kind of obligated to try the new one but truly I have almost 0 interest in it.
