careful yo, don't you know the staff are conducting a war against intolerance?
but yes
|

Well, I'm digging it a good bit first listen, but I'll have to listen more before I know for sure how I feel. Mainly, because it's a little different from what I was expecting for some reason.

Make sure to read some background on him and the album, really puts things into perspective. One of the great tragedies in music.

Hey look-y here skeeter. We found one of them "nigger guys." We don't too kindly to your folk around here, "nigger guy."
Ah, South Park, how I used to love you.

I never thought south park was that funny to be honest... It was just like they thought being offensive was a good enough substitute for actual clever comedy and wit, but I know they could be really clever when they out their mind to it

There were some pretty spot-on commentaries and criticisms imo, although I haven't watched it in years. Definitely much prefer it to Family Guy.

Also in the interest of keeping this somewhat on topic, what are your fave tracks from this?
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
Yeah the social commentary was the part of it I wish they expanded on way more. Family guy is pretty much the same as well. Too many lazy jokes
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
South Park did a great parody of Family Guy actually, basically saying that the premise of their show was basically an endless cycle of interchangeable jokes that had nothing to do with the actual narrative

I like when running jokes like character traits or past stories are used to forward a new joke or story. That's clever and a good way of building believable and relatable (and therefore 'funny') characters. But when you just throw in 'shut up meg' cos your audience are going to go 'hahaha I have heard that before hahaha' that's plain lazy.
It's why I like the Simpsons over Family Guy.
