Yes, it does grow.
My brother took a tour at a radio station a the University of Western Ontario and played "the Yeah Yeah Yeah Song" to the public of London. He also did a radio commercial for the new Atreyu album, and did a deep voice and sounded evil.
Thank you, thank you.

sweet review. possibly need to find a synonym for 'vocal' though.
although i think at war... isn't as good as the soft bulletin (but then what is?) for me it is better than yoshimi... by all accounts certain tracks, namely free radicals, appear to have drawn sharp criticism, and in this case i agree: yet i feel the orchestral-prog route the band take shows their true talent, and it's good to see it back strong on this album. personal standout tracks are the sound of failure, it overtakes me and, already one of my favourite flaming lips songs, haven't got a clue. the latter is pure musical genius, easily the best song i've heard so far this year.

This is an okay CD, if not a disapointing one. It's between a 3 & a 3.5. I guess I'll give it a 3.5 for the sheer thought that it might grow on me.
Good review BTW.This Message Edited On 04.20.06

This album has its moments but the first two tracks are abominable. "It Overtakes Me" and "Goin' On" are kinda drab as well.

Nice review. I like this album better than Yoshimi already. The Sound Of Failure is absolutely incredible.

Good review, my favorite song off here has to be Mr. Ambulance Driver, I also enjoy free radicals though many here seem not to.

Um, did anyone watch them do a live studio performance on VH2 the other day?
They were truly awful

I think the album is great! It has equal measures of insanity and beauty.
As far as the review goes I think there is one vital part you missed out when writing about "Pompeii...", the bass line is fookin' amazing!
