I have issues with The Last of Us.



And it comes down to Stealth. Even though it is my favorite genre, I think it should be banned. So many games 2007-forwards have bastardized Stealth mechanics and it honestly is driving me up all way. First, the atrocity that was Dishonored and now The Last of Us with its super smart Ai that will walk down a dark hallway toward your position and then turn its back to you.



I can't let that shit go. It pisses me off too much.

i played it for like an hour. it would probably get old after a bit but damn it was fun when i played

It's simply because I live in Australia, and it's god damn outrageous.
Games are like 15%-20% more expensive here, and there's no fucking reason for it other than that's how it's been since the fucking '80s and no one is doing anything to change it.

yea demi, it's fun to mess around, but every single fucking mission is exactly the same, the story is p much a complete rip off of The Matrix but not as cool, the weapons are disappointing, and there are so many fucking bugs (at least on the PS3 version), after I finished it, I basically didn't want to play it ever again.

only on some dumb DLC (which there is way too much of for this franchise) so I can't even play with the fucking dinosaurs!

likely because of exchange rates, lack of local developers and minimum wage.



Who mostly buys games? Probably young adults and teenagers who work for minimum wage who have a much higher minimum wage than in the US and it actually takes less work hours to buy a game in Australia than US.



If there is such a big price difference though wouldn't it make more since to buy games on steam or have them shipped to you?

idk man. i'm not aussie. i just notice the pricing, but yeah i imagined exchange rate might play a part. i always read comments from gamers saying they just import instead anyway, which sounds retarded since here in the states importing usually comes at a higher cost than retail
