Rival Dealer might have loftier than usual ambitions, but at its core it’s still music for those blue collar 9 to 5’ers, who from 5 to 9 crafted their own versions of superheroes – this release, once again, belongs to those “kindred spirits”.
you magnificent bastard

I feel like that hopeful mood was done much better on tracks like Stolen Dog, which still retained a slight bittersweet melancholy

That last sample at the end is weird and Hiders kinda goes by unnoticed, but other than that I really like this.
Oh and one thing;
Gavin DeGraw-sampling prelude
Technically, he didn't actually sample Gavin DeGraw; He actually sampled a vocal cover done by this girl

never imagined DeGraw would be sampled on a Burial release.

I enjoy all of it. I don't know what all this talk of disappointment is about.
Then again, I also think P4k were being a little over zealous when they gave in a 9/10.

This is a big departure from his regular sound; More upbeat, all these choir-like vocals in the background from Come Down to Us, etc; So it doesn't surprise me at all that this is so divisive
I love it though, although it would do just fine without Hiders
