Played 'The Wind Blows Through Their Skulls' to my mum, whose immediate reaction was 'this sounds a
bit like Sisters of Mercy.'

I don't know what genre this would come under so to avoid looking a right tit, I'm not gonna even
guess it. What I will say though, is that I'm glad that 'whatever this is' of this caliber is being
made.

Far prefer Kvohst's vocal work in this to his work in Dødheimsgard as well, should definitely stick at
it!

I'd just take a guess and say this is Post-Punk or somesuch along those lines.

Yeah, been digging this hard lately. I do like that "Fallout"-aesthetic.

Fuck yeah. They shouldn't have changed their name though.

Fuck yeah. They shouldn't have changed their name though. [2] Agreed, I thought Beastmilk was a fantastic name. Plus correcting people who looked through my iPod thinking they read 'breastmilk' never got old.

I wish they hadn't, but Kvohst explained why they did in an interview and it kind of makes sense. they changed it because their founding guitarist, who came up with the original name and wrote most of their music, left and the remaining members didn't think it'd be fair to carry on with the old name. from what I can tell, they see Grave Pleasures as more of a fresh start and a separate band than as Beastmilk with a different name.

I'm iffy on the name overall but I'm glad that they at least decided to change it to something that still reflects their morbid sense of humor.

when the name/lineup change first happened I worried that it'd signal a drastic change in sound, but the track they released today and the live stuff that's floating around would seem to indicate otherwise. I adore Climax so if the new album ends up being even half as good, I'll be happy.

Didn't like the single off the new one all that much.

Gonna check the new album in full now and hope it doesn't fuck up what the band had going

Listening right now.

It isn't exactly bad, but it kinda lost that energy that this record had.
