Eh, even with better lyrics they would just be generic. With the tough guy act they just seem like a frat boy group. At least that would appeal to the bros out there that like metal. Better lyrics would also need better composition, which is much harder to achieve. They do seem like they have some technical capability, they just don't really put enough effort into it, and they just kind of settle for "good enough" for their fans.
