If you're after that, try the debut, but this has no problem carrying its length

It also helps you've seen them performing the songs live, but yeah, it's an excellent record.

Nice review Raul. Really enjoying this album, pretty much as good as the debut IMO. Just had a listen this week to Revelation and Mystery, so can see what you mean about the slight change in style. Still good but the 10+ minute tracks suit them better.

Mad, was that the London date you were at? Bit fucked off I didn't hear about it, would've definitely been at that otherwise!

I think it was the 15th Nov. Great show, the annoying thing was that I didn't know many of the songs they played until after the show, probably would have helped if I'd listened more beforehand.

Arfgh can't decide whether to 4 or 4.5 this, the balance between their soft and heavy moments is so good, and those riffs

@DrGunther - Thanks. Yeah, the longer tracks suit them better, however it would've been nice for a change to include a couple of shorter tunes like Army Of Ignorance or Hangin' On The Wire.

I relistened to R&M btw, it's a lot better than I gave credit for before, I think I was just dissapointed that it wasn't as psychedelic last time

It ain't bad, but a lot of people expected Long Distance Trip, part 2. There are some great tracks and some that aren't memorable.

It definitely does stand up to their other work though, could be a 4.0.

As for having shorter tracks on this, I think it's brilliant how there's only four 10+ minute tracks, makes it into a different experience to LDT
