I must agree with the review. The sad part was that I was looking forward to to this album so much

It shouldn't, since this isn't a very well-written review.

Good review, Eli. In which songs would you argue Rody's voice is most unbearable?

Just curious. I'm still trying to gather my thoughts on this album myself. Coincidentally, I may have a review up in the next couple of days

@KILL (I don't know how to quote or anything cause I'm not familiar with the commenting system, sorry)

I don't like Eli's review because it sounds like he's getting his ideas all mixed up. He implies that Kezia was full of songs about "bloodbaths and glory," which it really wasn't at all, though Fortress was ("Bloodmeat"). Lyrically, this album (and Fortress) have little to nothing to do with "booze and debauchery," though there was a bit of that on Scurrilous. I personally disagree with his statement that "Clarity" or anything else on here sounds like Scurrilous, though I've heard other people say that, so it could be just me. Saying that they basically alternate "hackneyed metalcore breakdowns" (there's nothing of the sort) and masturbatory sweeps makes them sound like Born of Osiris, which is totally off-base. And he spends a lot of time talking about how messy the album is, when it's almost definitely their most cohesive.

Anyway, I obviously disagree with his take on the album, but I have no problem with someone writing a negative review of it. It's just that, if you're going to bash an album, do it well.

Didn't read the review but I'm suspecting it as oblivious as the soundoff that proceeded it, probably the dumbest thing I've ever read on this site and that's saying something

Rody's power metal vocals
