Thanks dude.

Nicely done man. One can see the eminent love and respect you've got for DP.
Since I'm a huge fan of improv and extended jamming, I will check this at some point.
This album is a rare opportunity to hear the mark II line up playing songs from the band's previous incarnation.

Thanks man. Seeing your music taste, I think you'll enjoy the album and yeah there aren't many better Mk.II live albums (I think only Made in Japan is better).

One of the greatest live albums regarding extended jams and improvs.

I've just listened to it and I must confess that it's one of the best live albums imo.

Just try not to judge it on first listen. For me, it took several listens and that's why I didn't hurry to upload a review for it.

If i didn't particularly dig their last one, could this one be an improvement?
|

never heard this one manos.....you make a valid point though on the recording of a single show rather than a best of from live performances on a tour......rawness indeed
great review, will check

Yeah, this is like the long lost sibling of Made in Japan that isn't so refined but damn it's wild. Hope you enjoy dude.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say probably no. The reason is that again it is a very Don Airey-oriented album like Now What?! but the inefficiencies of Now What?! are still there. Ian Gillan is a bit more in the background but he's not in the best shape and there are a couple of fillers too. As a longtime Purple fan though, Infinite has won me because it has got character. You will listen to a band that sounds like nobody else out there and I love that.
