As a Christian myself, nothing says Christian like "CHILDREN OF ANUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

Memes aside that song very biblical.

But yeah, the lyrical content itself is definitely about mythology, but biblical stories also borrow from mythology oftentimes. The lyrics seem to be written from the perspective of a Christian nonetheless.

Rebirth is very obviously about Christ's rebirth, but may also draw parallels to other mythological stories (I don't know shit about mythology).

"Body, mind and soul" from Ultraviolet echoes common church phraseology.

The lyrics on this album are gorgeously written, and I'm now tempted undergo a lyric-by-lyric analysis project like I did for Protest the Hero's Kezia (I have book's worth of notes on that album's lyrics).

Also these guys are from the Bible Belt, and The Artificials lyrics are strongly rooted in Christian beliefs, so even if the lyricist(s) on this album aren't Christian, the influence of Christianity on these artists would be almost unavoidable.

Yeah he's rules. Do you know if it was just him in charge or lyrics, or if Jesse and/or others also contributed?

Their lyrics got so much worse once Garrison left lol

“Crawled into a place in my head

The only space where I could feel safe and sound”

This is from their S/T and it’s embarrassing

"Do you know if it was just him in charge or lyrics, or if Jesse and/or others also contributed?"

It was all him, that's why Jesse has to kinda squeeze words in at times or just skip them lol but it was for the best since Garrison is just such a good writer. Jesse and Alan would sometimes give him like ideas to go off of, like Jesse wanted to sing about ghosts which is why White Noise is written the way it is with the ethereal shit. Heart is about Alan's dad, etc.

Made it into the top 0.5% of listeners this year on Spotify for this band almost exclusively just listening to this album on repeat.
