lol its not that patrician, just a good, really weird, psychedelic, dystopian thriller. Jim Carey, Jason Momoa, and Keanu Reeves are all in it. It doesn't have very favourable ratings and is definitely niche. But it's not super artsy like her previous film.

It's a modern cult classic in my eyes tho

your avatar is going to slowly morph into coltons with comments like that

if your mind is too feeble to comprehend the leagues of conceptual, aesthetic, and creative differences separating "shitty mainstream indie/blues" and paper trails you might as well be one and the same

I haven't heard yet lol, it's been on my wishlist for like 5 years tho. There are movies that play songs on here?

you just aren't listening deep enough ryus

gotta peel back the layers of desert blues and embrace the subtle yet haunting dystopian electronics and ambience that really make the thing bleed

ya its almost certainly just my bias against bluesy shit like that. my rating is also probably a result of my expectations about how this would sound vs how this actually sounds

The Bad Batch has Heart, Greek Light, Metatron, and I think even Paper Trails in it. Maybe more. It has some Nic Jaar songs in it as well and some Pantha Du Prince, Francis Harris, Black Light Smoke, Ace of Base, and Die Antwoord lol

Paper Trails is so super good, it's my second fave here. I do agree with park that the opener stands head and shoulders above the rest though.

Lovely record nonetheless, and I'm hyped for the new one.

I downloaded that movie like a year or so back and never got around to watching it... didn't know it used tracks from this... also, I knew Keanu Reeves had a role but I didn't know Jim Carey was in it lol
