I loved it back in the days, but it got kinda boring over time. Though Between Angels and Insects still finds it's way into my playlists sometimes.
I give it: 2.5 -3/5

I just listened to this CD and convinced myself to look at the review lol
Good review

"...even if PR's best riffs are essentailly Iron Maiden rewrites in new keys..."
I was just going to say that the "Between Angels and Insects" intro is exactly like "Prowler" by Iron Maiden when I read that. Weird.
I totally agree with almost everything on this review. I bought the album when it came out and really liked it then, but it doesn't hold up so well a few years later. 3/5 is a perfect rating.

Like many this was the first album I bought when I was 11 or 12, I liked it then and I like it now. Although I don't listen to it as much as before (it gets played about once every 3 months) I still enjoy it.
I think the whole album is good quality from start to finish. Better than the average nu-metal bands at the time (well the mainstream ones, I didn't know of any others). And I don't usually like heavier rock or metal anyway but somehow I still play this 6 years later. It gets my vote.

It can be really easy for anyone to give this album a bad rating simply because of Last Resort. I think that this is a good song, just extremely overplayed, and like any other song, when that happens, the song can be nearly ruined. Anyways, id give this album an 8.5/10. I cant say there are any tracks on this i dont like. good review.

Hmmm.."not on the level of Carey or Portnoy." No shit!

"oh almost forgot my fav song on the albim is 'tightrope'"
i def agree with that (next to BAAI + LR)
still a good album after all these years.

Actually, the Last Resort riff was taken from Iron Maiden's "Ghengis Khan", and it's in the same key, too.

Still gets an occasional spin from me. The energy keeps it from getting too boring. And yea, I really need to buy some Iron Maiden albums. I've heard that "The Kids Aren't Alright" by the Offspring used a maiden riff in the intro.

I don't think comparisons to Portnoy are neccesary since he's pretty much the greatest drummer ever. Wow, I own the Live At Budokan dvd and he is just awesome. At one point he's playing while standing up. He looks so  with that bandanna. This Message Edited On 12.03.05

I love how The JoZ tries to compare Papa Roach to Tool and Dream Theater in this review.

Blood Brothers made it on THPS2, I don't recall Dead Cell being on there. I like this album a lot for some reason, one of the better "numetal" groups.
