Just listened to this for the first time in ages. Cozy Powell's drumming on here deserves more recognition, although it's hardly surprising that his performance is overshadowed by that of Dio and Blackmore.

Haven't listened to this for a while either, but agreed. Powell's drumming is great.

Hehe, touché. For me, every song has its perfect place on Pink Moon. Here I cannot avoid the fact that

Do You Close Your Eyes and perhaps Starstruck as well are somewhat lacking compared to the rest of the

album.

The second half of this album is considerably better than the first imo.

The two epics make up the second half, length-wise, so that is very true.

"Pink Moon is amazing"

Yeah it's an excellent album. It's a shame that Nick Drake wasn't more popular alive.

Now, most my 5s include some sentimental value, so that's one reason that I 5d this without too much thought. Otherwise, I understand both Sgt and JTs views.

"Now, most my 5s include some sentimental value, so that's one reason that I 5d this without too much thought"; be that as it may, Rising can be worthy of a 5, although i think i'll give it a 4.5 ;)

I think this album is the easiest 5 I ever gave, and I think I actually don't have sentimental value about it hahaha

I think the only reason songs like Do you Close your Eyes do not shine that much is because songs like Stargazer make them look lame

It's like a Mercedes Benz it is an awesome car, but it has nothing to do compared to a Bugatti haha

Pink Moon is amazing (2)
