A good review of a great album; you did a nice job of describing it, and why it is your favorite. “Lost” is a perfect way to explain listening to World of Echo. I get lost in it every time I listen.

this one didn't have a review huh?

listened once and was pretty overwhelmed but also kinda baffled. seems like it will take some listens for the album to unfold

Russel must have been an enormous musician from what I've read and from what i'm hearing also

^yeah, he was an incredibly dedicated musician. i can only imagine what kind of ugly stuff he must

have had to go through to just put this kind of a sound out at the time. absolutely unreal. i'm sure

he got paid tons of respect in very confined areas especially as his career unfolded into more of a

disco/dance genre but wow, just thinking about his struggle before that period proves how much he

must have loved writing music. so sad that he died only six years after this one was released.

mindle, which songs in particular interested you first listen?

and thank you, twig. that's pretty cool that you agree with me on that.. i haven't really been

able to hear anyone else's opinion on this album lol. i found it through claudio (lol) and he barely

posts anymore, hopefully one day he reads this and gives us his thoughts cause he rules

every time i spin this every song is still absolutely perfect, but it's even better late at night

while doing nothing else in particular other than listening. i think the vocals are what really

create this thing into such the sick album it is, the way russell directs songs through his voice

so effortlessly blows my mind. reverb/effects wash over everything so perfectly as well though,

especially in like the first minute of being it and the middle of canvas home. i also love how like

sounds dip into or fold over each other, so many things interest me here unlike anything else. can't

even really pick a favorite track from here, they're all so well written.

excited to hear what you guys think of this when it settles a bit more : )

Christian, the fact that your enthusiasm and nuanced interpretation for/of music is so palpable and seeps of your words even in harried comments is really special. I encourage you to review more, there's real talent there man
