i was going to write a review for this today. damn you. well-written and sooooort of what i was going to get at. this is not a 5, but it deserves a 3 at least in my eyes strictly because it's completely honest. there's no polish, no shine, it's just anger and all the good and bad that goes with it.
review doesn't read like a 5, some of your points were mute, but overall, it was extremely well written.
the people who negged you... kind of a douche move.

You can't give an album a 5, 4.5 or even 4 on "sheer attitude" if it's got nothing else.

DM is more enjoyable, the main flaw of that album is james voice but instrumentation is far better than the one in this album

I'll admit I harshly didn't like this album, but it grew on me over time. I can't hail it or praise it the way I admire their thrashier works, but it's actually quite good.

I forced myself to give this multiple listens and not to listen to it like a 'Metallica' album, but just as an album (does that even make any sense?). Anyway, I grew to like it.
