I'm not really into Electropop, but CHVRCHES really stood out to me to me since I first heard The Mother We Share. Really really catchy, and I do like how each track has its own style, like "Gun" is a really poppy, upbeat, catchy song, and then there's "science/visions" or "lies" which are more darker sounding. Fantastic vocals, Fantastic Synth parts. And yes, Lauren is a qt.

Agreed saying someone is good looking is 100% sexist.

80s influenced Scottish synth-pop trio Chvrches deliver on the hype with their much-anticipated debut LP 'The Bones of What You Believe'. Impressively self-produced, the layered arrangements not only mean there is sufficient diversity, but also that the tunes are darker than the catchy melodies suggest. Out front, Lauren Mayberry's sweet & enchanting vocals take center stage & recall Robyn's fragile style. Surprisingly consistent & using build-ups effectively, it’s still a touch repetitive & over-long, but the room for improvement for such a young band makes Chvrches an exciting proposition. Recommended Tracks: Recover, Gun, The Mother We Share & Tether.
