The intro is the hardest song to get through. For me it's mostly due to the vocals. They don't feel sinister enough. Like someone trying too hard to sound metal. Instrumentation on the track builds up a nice menacing atmosphere. After that you're golden.

My favourite was KNY when it started off at 4.7, then stayed at 4.6 for two days, and then plummeted to 4.0 in a matter of hours. Fanbois got rekt hard

Really the worst thing about this album is it’s way too long and tedious. The amazing music makes this complaint almost null but it’s still there.

Revisited this after like 5 years, nothing sounds like this. King Crimson comes close, but this is simply unique. The second half especially is sublime.

Oof, yeah. It's weird because Byron did some awesome screams/growls for Maudlin/Kayo Dot in the past. Guess the dude lost his touch by the time Hubardo rolled around.

I’ve never thought the black stone was that bad. At least the ending of it makes up, and of course everything after is great. I also find the album more enjoyable and digestible when you have the lyrics to read along
