I often skip Black Stone if I want to get straight into the album - it does take a while to get going, and the vocals by Byron there aren't the greatest. I do like the buildup, though.

I have no desire to sit through The Black Stone again haha. Vision Adjustment to Another Wavelength is also kind of gimmicky and all-over-the-place, but the other eight songs are pure excellence.

Black Stone is a fine slow-build, Floodgate is dire.

Black Stone reminds me a lot of maudlin so I never skip. And yeah, Floodgate is essential

Floodgate rips and is extremely necessary after the previous two tracks

Floodgate's placement in the album doesn't do it for me, also not with where the lyrics or story are at that point. I feel that way about a few other parts too.

There’s nothing wrong with The Black Stone. Some days I wish the album was shorter though.

Listening to this with clenched fist just thinking about how this didn't make the top 100 of the decade.
