I'm going to Taste of Chaos tonight. I'll listen to the new stuff and see if it sounds good or not.
Cool, so am I (not tonight though, a later date). Tell me how it goes as I'm kinda pumped for it considering I've yet to see Thrice live.
For a first review excellent work. This band isn't really my thing though

good review, way better than my first by a longshot. i actually like atreyu, and that is weird because i usually hate metal. this and killswitch engage are really the only metal bands i can actually get into

So I had a listen, and I found it was more of an ambiatic sound compared to the Curse, if that makes any sence to you guys. The album had more of a whole sound to it, less distinguishable tracks. Overall, I can't say it's their best but maybe after a few more listens I will change my mind.

Great review.
I dunno about this CD. I made the mistake of getting "The Curse" (though I do still listen to "Bleeding Mascara" and "The Crimson" every now and then) SNABK was alot better. But now that I read your review, I think I'll actually go buy this one.

Brandon's voice is a lot better on this album. I think this is their best album yet.

Great review.

The only thing I disagree with is your review on Ex's and Ohs. I love that song, and it's probably one of my favorites on the album.

Otherwise, I loved teh review.

I've been an atreyu fan for a while, but iv never really followed of trends in popularity in metal/punk/hardcore/screamo/bolivian jazz (possibly rendering me drastically un-cool in the eyes of many black clad scene kids)... fair play to anyone who doesnt like this band, but i cant help but feel that a lot of comments i've just read through (from this and other atreyu album reviews) seem far too hung up on what genre others want to stamp on a band (im guessing atreyu is not an issolated case).. if avenged sevenfold's 'waking the fallen' was legally proclaimed as a emo/pop album tomorrow would their fanbase instantly burn their albums and move on??...my point is thus; maybe we shud remove ourselves somewhat from whatever is the chat of the day and just enjoy what might just possibly be some very good noise..

just my rant of the day,
love n llamasThis Message Edited On 04.03.06This Message Edited On 04.03.06

This is a wicked album and all you assholes should stop ripping them up, id like to see any one of yous do anything thing close to what they'ev accomplished. after you'ev recorded what like 3 full length albums and done sold out shows all over the world, you can say what you want. untill then shut the fuck up and keep it to yourself.

ATREYU RULES!!

Yes, because as everyone knows knowledge is mutually and exclusively linked to accomplishment. What a horrifyingly stupid and ineffectual argument.

Shut up, brat. If you can't deal with the fact that people don't like your favorite band, go cry in your mascara box and tell your mommy. This Message Edited On 04.05.06

They are pretty generic metalcore, the guitars and drums have talent but the bass is rarely heard, the mix on this album is terrible, and Alex can't scream to save his life.
