Agreed Emyay. Which is also not saying much, since The New Reign is still a 4.5

The best song off this is Imaginary Condition. Most varied different stuff happens in it, the song is the least formulaic out of the bunch. Which isn't saying much

The Discovery was so fucking amazing. What's up with this?!

^agreed with Imaginary Condition. It's the most like The Discovery, but a lot of these are so bad that it's not funny. Apparently their minds were like "we have such a good keyboardist and guitarist... So let's not use any of them in this new album and instead replace them with chugging riffs." I liked "Machine" when it was first released but after listening a while I'm just like okay.. I've taken enough looks at myself lol

I can play the stuff their keyboardist plays on this album. with one hand. come on, playing keyboards is a piece of cake as long as you play rhythmic sequences. it's much easier to get it right than say, on the guitar. The whole idea in playing keyboards is to play DIFFERENT stuff, not the same one riff all the time. That's this instrument's charm and purpose.

The 2 only good songs sound identical and the rest are just bad. I hope their 4th (or is it 5th?) album isn't any worse. I'd like to

see another like The Discovery

I think they're moving in a simple, accessible direction instead. Making unambitious chug metal for kids. Oh well.

Corekids still swing off their sac. Dumb chug fans constitute a bigger part of their fanbase than the people who actually appreciated their musicianship on The Discovery.

Love this album, at first I didn't dig it but it has grown immensely on me. The Discovery was much better but this is still excellent. Stoked for the next release as well.

wasn't terrible but way too much chugging and I don't remember the songs being very diverse
