Does this have any of the 'grind' like riffing of their earlier stuff?

Some songs on those earlier albums had weird parts where they just drift off, and then some of the riffs were really grind like, fast high pitched and like attacking in a way.

not really, it's pretty much just like a better meridional

I haven't been big on the production of the last few records, it sounded like plastic or something. like everything is drowning everything out, its hard to explain.

it's just their style yeah i know but i think this new record is similar production just a bit louder and more distinct then the previous two

i mean it's still a great album I just think some of the songs are weak, opener is meh, and then I just think it's too long, isn't there one song that's just like random noises and it goes on forever? Cant remember.

There's a few interludes but i don't think there's a song made up of random noises. I will admit though the last few tracks on that album are kind of meh.

A step down from Meridional in my book. It lacks some of the intensity that Meridional has. Still, when compared to other metalcore releases of the year, it stands out.

Even though way more solid than Meridional I still wish there was a song that hit like A Media Friendly Turn For The Worst or Deathbed Atheist, those songs are so catchy in a good non-generic way. A little bit more old-school chaotic NJ would have been a nice addition, but still awesome album.

I don't see what's so particularly terrible about it, besides have you heard this?

Artwork that's bad doesn't always mean the music is too. Look at Death's Spiritual Healing, horrible artwork but a great album.

Not every band has an artist like Vasily Kafanov or Easo Andrews to work with. I mean I don't think the artwork is anything special, I just don't understand what makes it so terrible other than some silly biased distaste for the band.
