His albums are always very dynamic yet punchy. There's also great separation between the instruments. It just sounds massive and clean but also organic.

You're an utter disgrace to the history of music. Beethoven would spit on your grave.

There's a massive industrial feel to this album. Nachash, A.M War, The Last Few and Alpha Omega in particular.

I think they're really trying to get away from the Tool comparisons which have always been incredibly lazy anyway.

Sometimes they're lazy. Some people are just like "Nope, tool clones, I hate them!" and then again it's hard not to listen to Deadman and Illumine without Tool coming to mind.

There's definitely an influence but to write them off as clones is lazy. The only part of this album which makes me think of tool is the softer part in nachash. I'd say meshuggah has become a bigger influence for them. Listen to Goliath or the last few, very meshuggaish.

there are only a couple of "ok" songs on this album for me....

if you like songs that generally have no direction, this is for you.

sound awake is far more superior than this album.... Ian kenny should leave his Birds of tokyo style of vocals with them.. introducing that to this band was a mistake...

his vocals dont go anywhere.. no build ups.. no massive hooks....

i am really disappointed with assym. Expected so much more.

I agreed with everyone on this page until about the fifth listen and then everything clicked almost all at once. It's an album you have to unravel a little bit more before you make an opinion on it.
