Yeah I'd say 6 good songs actually. Damn I just wish they would have at least matched the production of the last album.

Yea production was epic on Sound Awake. Don't get me wrong, Steve Judd is godly, but it sounds like he's just banging on the snare drum in a bunch of these songs.

Songs like AM War were a disaster in my opinion. I love cool time signatures (especially because I'm a

drummer) but it felt so contrived and awkward. Sometime simplicity is the best formula for a song. In

all fairness though, I havent exactly given this a surviving chance because I have only listened to it

about 10 times. I think I'm going to give it a few more spins and then review it. I'm a huge Vool fan,

but this was a lackluster effort and a huge disappointment. Let's hope they dont wait another 4 years

to redeem themselves.

The average rating is way lower than Sound Awake, so I think the opinions are pretty accurate. I don't think this is bad as others, but it's still a mess of an album. I'm just a sucker for a good amount of the songs.

Avg should be 3.8. It's still an excellent album but easily Vool's weakest release. Parts of this just sound complex for complex sake.

Nachash, We Are, The Refusal, Aeons, Sky Machine, Eidolon and Float are awesome.

Alpha Omega is such a underwhelming closer compared to Change.

Next album: Fuck interludes, make songs that are more memorable and get Forrester back.

Agreeed excpet for The Refusal and Eidolon. Nachash is probably my favourite here, but this makes me sad compared to Sound Awake when it would be pretty good in its own right
