it is one of the weaker songs in here for me

Too monotonous for such a long song

I Am the Resurrection on the other hand...

its repetitivity (is this a word?) is what makes it good for me, that groove is unreal. I Am the Resurrection is awesome too yea

Fools Gold isn’t on this though, it’s certainly not meant to be.

It is on many editions of this album, and since it was just a single, those versions of the album are the way to go to get the song

The trimmed down single version is on any indie compilation released from 1990 to about 2000. The unedited version is on the Turns to Stone compilation.

It shouldn’t be on this album. I’m livid tbh.

Zak how do you remember the release of this?

I was fascinated by those analogue electro-drumbeats on drone rock. Definitely a new sound for me.

I don’t remember this when it came out, I was a bit too young to be recognising new stuff such as this. My head was turned in or around ‘91 because of the wave of appreciation in the UK for the band still carried over from its release but it was still relatively ‘underground’ certainly for a young lad such as me.

When Second Coming came out there was a huge wave of hype but even that was still saddled with tags such as ‘influence on Oasis’ or best Manchester band before Oasis’

It would’ve been about ‘95 that I really look this to my heart. Waterfall, Made of Stone and Resurrection sounded absolutely fucking amazing then, still do now.

Album is a whispered riot.
