Yeah this album is awesome - preordered the vinyl

But my friend has had this on vinyl so I guess it's a repressing?

It's almost a toss up between Stupid Dream and this for me, but this wins every time. It's because Stupid Dream, amazing as it is, is just a collection of songs while this tells a narrative that is even greater than the sum of its parts. This album is cinematic on a whole other level.

Sinternet is right about there only being like two worthwhile PT albums but his choices for which albums those are are atrocious lmao

How exactly is Signify an atrocious choice? I can understand why you'd single out Stupid Dream, but Signify is much more in line with the band's more experimental and psychedelic material. A bit more streamlined, yeah, but still solid work from that era

I was referring to when he said Stupid Dream and Deadwing. He added Signify as a sidenote later on.

And yeah that one is ok.

To me, his magnum opus is either Signify or Hand Cannot Erase

This, Sky, and Stupid Dream are top 3 for me. Signify, Deadwing, and Hand. Cannot. Erase are second tier top 3 imo

I was in a optimal jam situation (on a train, with a beer) & I feel like my time would’ve been better spent elsewhere. Polished within an inch of its life & Wilson’s voice works against the concept. Maybe that’s the point idk, but why does an album with this subject matter sounds so damn pleasant & inoffensive? Musicianship is good though, obviously.
