This guy and reggeaton makes me embarrased of being puertorican. When I go to parties (i dont know why i even go to them) the only music they have is this piece of s**t. It isnt even music, its just generic drumbeats with different lyrics

I completly entirely 100% agree with all of that. Including the first sentence, but apart from that I'm always proud to say I'm puertorican.

im latin (costa rican) and this sh*t is everywhere, its dancing music just that, if you say this is a great genre which you can listen every day then you´re an idiot (krost), its just the same drum beat and all the songs talk about sex. the only stand out band here is "Calle 13", even though im not saying they´re great, they just dont suck so much as the other artist.

you people are lucky you live in the US, here in Latin America people actually take reggeaton as if it was a serious genre of music... this fad has gone WAY too far

Somebody reviewed this? Man, I lived in south Florida for eighteen eyars and had to put up with this shit for eighteen years and every time I go back to visit. I would rather carve off my ears with a power saw than deal with reggaetone anymore. Not understanding spanish might be a part of it but it's gotten worse with Soulja Boy gathering popularity.

Lyrics are the worst of any genre of music... counting black/doom metal (or at least just as bad), so not knowing Spanish isn't a big problem.

Regaetton is possibly the most idiotic genre of music possible. Makes me feel ashamed that I'm latin american (Guatemalan, to be exact). Many people take this as a serious genre, and wherever you go that stupid boring beat and moronic lyrics will be there. The lyrics make Soujila Boy and Chad Kroeger look as intelligent... Well, not that much, but yeah. Reason why I prefer keeping my MP3 with some Dark Tranquillity, Alice in Chains and Slayer in it when going to some other place. This Message Edited On 12.19.08

Everyone is rightfully guilty of having one shitty band that they absolutely love.
This is mine.

THIS IS THE WORST SHIT I HAVE EVER HEARD IN ALL MY FUCKING LIVE .

DADDY YANKEE MAKES THAT SOULJA BOY ,FRED DURST AND BRET MICHAELS SEEMS SMART PEOPLE

THE SOUND IS WORST THAN A MC DONALDS HAMBURGER

THE LYRICS ARE FOR MORONS ,THAT WERE RAPED BY THEIR PARENTS WHEN THEY WERE KIDS

THIS IS NOT RAP ,THIS IS NOT LATIN MUSIC ,IS JUST SHIT THATS SUCKS MORE THAN GEORGE BUSH ,UNFORTUNALETY THIS SHIT IS POPULAR IN THE IGNORANT PEOPLE OF LATIN AMERICA .

SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH , I'M FROM COLOMBIA

neworld: for those of you who claim to not understand reggaton and the same beats repeated and maybe changed slightly under some different lyrics, you dont understand it because you have to understand hispanic/latino culture to understand reggaeton music. hispanics/latinos are all about dancing and there is a dance for basically every type of spanish music and each genre has a kind of beat or something that makes it sound similar or else you wouldnt be able to do the same kind of dance to each song in the same genre. its the same with bachata which is another kind of spanish music or duranguese. the only reason rock songs are able to sound different from each song to song is because they dont have to worry about dancing to rock music... how the hell'd u do that jump up and down??? SO basically you idiots cant even try to compre reggaton to rock to see whats good/better because thatd be senseless like comparing apple to oranges, its not gonna get you anywhere

ME: DUDE the dance is just DRYHUMPING
