There are several parts on Nucleus where I clearly feel that Erik was not involved.

yea it makes his absence sting a bit more when listening but it makes sense. it’s a nice tribute anyway

well yeah i'm sure he pretty much just wrote a bunch of riffs and it was on them to fill in the gaps. they had to write the lyrics and everything.

Really wanna like the new one more than I do. The song-writing and musicianship stands up to this well but the production is even drier, which was already my primary complaint with this.

I do like the vocal guest spots but I was expecting more from Matti Way in particular.

My thoughts exactly. I love the guest vocals and all, but the songwriting isn't up to the level of Erik's previous work.

I’m enjoying the new one. A worthy swan song for Erik.

Yeah truly one of the best posthumous albums I’ve heard. They did their best to arrange and write the songs the way they thought Erik would. Obviously doesn’t have the same exact energy because it’s not him, but it’s a damn good emulation. Still sounds like modern Deeds. The dryer production isn’t an issue because you settle into it immediately beyond the first couple minutes. Erik absolutely would have loved it.

This album kind of rules. The very end of the album is one of the best moments tech death has had in the last 10-20 years.
