Didn't know they had a new album on the way. Was really dissapointed with In This Light when it came out, but it seems you've given me some new hope here Davey!

First album is still the only decent thing they ever did.

Also, A Ton Of Love might be one of the biggest U2 ripoffs I ever heard.

'Smokers..' was such a great song. And yeah, that was off their 2nd LP.

Smith definitely has some Vedder in his voice. I actually think 'A Ton of Love' is probably their most underwhelming lead single from all 4 of their albums. I still like it, but it doesn't exactly fill you with great confidence for the album.

That's why I'm here Nag. Summary & final sentence says it all.

Definitely a lot of U2 on that song clercqie, but only small glimpses elsewhere.

I was hoping they'd pick up their guitars again after In This Light & On This Evening which I never really got into. Loved their first two records, but I lost track after ITL&OTE. I didn't even notice C. Urbanowicz left. I've only listened to A Ton Of Love and Honesty so far, but they're both pretty good. Also the artwork's awesome. Great review!

A ton of love --> Tutorial on how to copy U2

Great review though. Gonna check this. An End has a Start was a good album and I loooooved smokers outside the hospital doors.

There are guitars here HC, but not as much as you/I were hoping for. They do make up for it in other ways though.

Thanks Ed. Hopefully I haven't led you up the wrong path.

honesty is kind of cool but even when its the best song on this album the falsettos and repetition is dragging it down and the rest of the album is just too average. and i listened to that often, i cant help myself

your review makes me listen to it again. i really tried :P

OK, so I listened to it and I loved it. I do kinda understand the criticism the album is getting here and pretty much everywhere else but I still love it. It's rock solid, and while I do recognize it's hardly got any edge at all, sometimes I just want music that flows as effortlessly as this does.

At least you tried ti0n. I think too many with preconceived thoughts won't even get that far.

Glad you liked it Ruan. Nice sound-off too.

You probably heard it on a music video show somewhere, with it being the lead single.
