This is a grower, I could enjoy the vocals given enough time.

It's solid otherwise, just very whiny sounding initially; about halfway through "Spark" though it wasn't too bad.

yeah the vocals are the hardest part to get past for most people, but as far as the music itself I think they've made some definite improvements. I think it's cool that even though they have a capable harsh vocalist they don't just overuse him.

"‘Hopeless Hearts Unite’ is one of the most beautiful songs they’ve ever written,"

is it hollow or hopeless?

while I'm skeptical that this band could ever write something I could tolerate, review's solid

For a while back around 2004, Hawthorne Heights were huge and adored by many only to be dismissed by most of the world a few years later.

You can count me a passenger of that boat.

@projectfreak,

ah yes, it should be hollow hearts unite good catch. also thanks for the compliment.

"You can count me a passenger of that boat."

I think just about everybody is in the same boat lol except for some diehard fans but even I thought their last 2 albums were boring minus a couple songs.

I'm liking the album more and more after every listen!

The lyrics aren't bad actually, it always gets me when JT croons "I just wanna be something, cause anything is better then nothing" in Spark. I love the honesty that stems off from these songs.
