Well first off Awake deserves to have a much lower rating than it does, and second off, Awake is one of my least favorite albums I've ever had to listen to and I think this is a little stronger.

FWIW I think the singles off Awake are really strong, especially "Monster" and "Awake And Alive." Granted, the ones off Comatose are better, but Awake's aren't horrible. In contrast, anything that even comes close to working on Rise is a ripoff of earlier work (see "Not Gonna Die" and "Awake And Alive"). The rest of the album - the "new" stuff - is atrocious IMO

If this is Awake 2.0, NOPE. Such such such a boring album.

They were playing some of these tracks in FYE the other day, and I'm surprised, I actually didn't hate them.

i agree with toomanyfriends, band has derailed since Collide. that album actually had a spark of creativity.

Collide was their best even though it was pretty much generic hard rock with strings, Comatose had a few decent songs, but these last two have been very lackluster.

Skillet has been pretty much the same for me, but I do agree that Collide was their best album. Savior is probably their best song they come out with.
