that sucks that you dont have relationship experience and are cynic but im sorry to say that it seems that is the major reason why you dont like this album. i mean, this album is all about relating to the emotion that it portrays, and if youre a somewhat cynical person who doesnt have a sense of value for what it means to lose someone you love to relationship turmoil then i can see why you wouldnt connect with this. i just dont think this album is for you, just like how angsty punk isnt written for the conservatives.

sorry if that commrnt seemed blunt by the way. im sorry to hear that you havent had positive and motivating experiences when it comes to relationships. i just think its unfortunate to miss out on what this album has to offer because of it. but then thats not your fault, maybe its the fault of the band for targeting an even narrower demographic by putting all of their eggs into one basket with a single unified theme on which the album heavily relies for its gravitas

This album is so bad, I think I'm going to cry myself to sleep because it's a Jimmy Eat World album.

Not even having a succession of lovely relationships would make this album a 5. Don't try to make excuses for me or imply that my lack of strong, wonderful connections with the opposite sex would make me not connect to the lyrics. I feel strong connections to a lot of similarly styled albums but I think this one sucks. You make it sound like I miss the point with this but my criticism touched on the major theme and explained why it doesn't work and you acknowledged that. Sorry we disagree.

no he means minty and i think it's cool if minty gets so much enjoyment out of this. different strokes for different folks. I personally don't see how it is better than futures or bleed american but I do think it's another solid album and it's better than invented imo

bleed american has get it faster which has a bad chorus. always skip the middle i find it boring. authority song is a bit cheesy and i always skip it. not always in the mood to rock out to bleed american (the song) so i often skip that. i prefer damage because there are no songs that give me any reason to skip them. i'm always in the mood for every song because none of them are so specific to a certain mood. hear you me, cautioners, sweetness, your house, a praise chorus etc are probably better than pretty much every song on damage though. but damage is more consistent imo. hence i rate it higher.
