The music on the new song is really good...but man is it cheesy. "HIP HIP HOORAY. GLORY TO THE HUMAN RACE".

lol yea, I don't know if that was supposed to be a sarcastic line or what. the music is kinda lazy for their standards, it's like a mid tempo chug fest with a simple catchy chorus. that's probably the reason why they chose it for a first single, I'm sure the rest of the songs won't be that generic. the one thing I liked is that the keyboards weren't that upfront like in some of their stuff, I like them more in the background. the solos are always welcome tho!

I'm hoping/assuming it's the "single" thing where they choose the most pedestrian song for XM Liquidmetal play or whatever.

I'm willing to bet it will be the worst song

Yeah I definitely prefer when the keyboards are more in the background too. The solos were definitely the highlight, although I did like the main melody, even if the overall structure was a bit generic. Honestly when that "hooray" part came on I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cringe lol, really hope it was just sarcastic.

And yeah it's probably (most definitely) going to be the worst song on the album. Was kind of the same way with this album too, they most likely just released the most "accessible" song or whatever.

first single was Windlake right? that was good but not great. t/t came next and it rips.

hip hip hooray is definitely sarcastic. it's said by the deluded masses, I think.

Yeah I think it was Windlake, then yeah the t/t and Deadfall I think. I gotta listen to the new song again and see, I wasn't really following the lyrics or the video, just happened to see those words across my screen and I was like wait wtf lol

Agreed. Can't wait for the next single though. It's probably gonna be sick.

"Evil Kin as first single gives you riffs written back in 1991 blended with melodies of Kalmah today."

So riff was taken from Ancestors trash can. But those demos were epic
