I remember getting my pre-order of this album on vinyl at least five days or so before the album released back in 2013, and that first listen with those hot pink and neon yellow discs was truly an experience.

If you just like good music, this should slap. Lol I feel that there are too many closed minds around this group. Either you're a purist and won't accept the more melodic screamo and gaze-y elements, or you just don't like black metal adjacent stuff period. Personally, I think both takes are wrong. This shit's beautiful.

Album peaks in its first two minutes but it’s sort of undeniable to me too. How you gonna deny sunbather. They made the cover pink

It's beautiful how this band combines beautiful instrumental melodies with all these influences. All their albums are really consistently great, even though their fourth one has Night People and I never liked that song.
It's so pink it's undeniable, agreed

Starting to go through the early albums from Scott Walker. Dude has an incredible voice. Really full and deep. The music feels super cinematic. Not for everyone, but I think it's pretty cool so far.

New Imperial Triumphant is indeed amazing. Also, I remember how nuts it was to see Deafheaven headlining at something like Pitchfork. Like black metal for the masses, but also still really great sounding.
