They're not sell-outs at all (I make a note never to use the term anyway). They're definitely mainstream but they're still making great material. Isn't that all that matters?
btw, their new single (Long Live the Weekend) is awesome!

Wow, people actually like this tripe? Oh well, poor taste.

They are a good band, but then again you dont have to be big. For instance i would say that Frenzal Rhomb are a better Aussie Punk band. They're more consistent with their albums than the Living End and they have even more energy. Plus they never went mainstrem which is always good.

The Lving end dont need to go over the top big and are comfortable where they are now.

no band needs to, they choose to

What a band! Glad to see they're dipping back towards their original sound after the ARTillary fiasco (Sorry, that's not fair, it wasn't THAT bad of an album..) and getting back in to some real rockabilly. A good album, but one I think will need a few more listens before it becomes a favourite like Self Titled and Roll On. However, seeing them live again in a few months should make me appreciate the new album more, as was the case with ARTillary. Good review. Great Band.

It suffers from a bit of filler towards the end, but there's some great tracks here and it's definitely worth checking out.
As usual though, the first album is the best.

Roll On was the best in my opinion.

So, according to one of your earlier comments pants, you think that The Living End is the most popular band to come from Austrailia? That is high praise, especially since AC/DC came from the Ausie state. Though I will say that they are a great band and this cd was better than I thought it was going to be. Good review overal.

GO AWAY!
personally The Living End are my favourite band to come from Australia, and every album is worth buying (exept Modern Artillery)
This album was my favourite by them, but then the album that is 'White Noise' came out and whoa! its so good. I was thinking of writing a review for it, but I would be way too biased.

I dislike White Noise compared to TLE's older work. Probably 2.5-3.5 material. Depending on how generous I feel.
