Release Date: 1980 | Tracklist

Dicks were never the fastest or hardest early hardcore band, but few could communicate their frustrations as effectively as Dicks did. Clocking in at about 5 and ½ minutes, Hate The Police EP best exemplified this. The message of the opening title track was bluntly anti-establishment, the guitars were tinny and lo-fi and Gary Floyd's vocals cut right through, not sparing an ounce of passion and unrest, yelping lines like “Daddy, daddy, daddy/proud of his son/he's got a good job/killin' ******s and Mexicans”. While the other tracks shine in their own right, with “Lifetime Problems” showing a more maniacal Floyd and “All Night Fever” being a purely fun little tune, they don't quite have the pervasive moody quality of the title track. Their career would continue for several years after this, amping up and using heavier doses of their bluesy sound, but to hear Dicks' at their most raw and most immediate, look no further than their debut EP.

short review for short EP

i'll probably get drunk one night and do an acoustic cover of the title track and post it here cause it's one of the best songs of all time

You can't have "this" be your main subject bro montana unless you already mentioned what "this" is in the same sentence

yes you can. "this" is used in the accusative case, like the pronoun "him". you can say "I banged Ire's mom. This angered him." where Ire is the antecedent to "him" while being in the previous sentence
