This is a good deathgrind album, but Harmony Corruption is superior in every way. This album has no classic tracks, while the previous album has If the Truth Be Known, The Chains That Bind Us, and Suffer The Children.

The reviewer complains of Harmony Corruption's production, but it fits that album perfect. The hellish guitar tone, the fuzzy bass, and Mick Harris' amazing snare make that album. The production on this album might be clearer, but the drums and vocals overpower the guitars and bass.

Also what is this clueless kid talking about using the Mentally Murdered tracks? Harmony Corruption features all NEW songs. The original CD included the Mentally Murdered EP. The songs were not rerecorded.

Secondly the only backup vocals are on track #5, Unfit Earth. Glen Benton of Deicide does backing vocals halfway through the song and John Tardy of Obituary does them at the end.

Now back to this album...

The problem with this album is that a lot of the songs blend into each other and there are no memorable moments. A lot of the tracks are repetitive and much too similar to earlier songs from their catalog. The second half of this album has a lot of filler which could have been trimmed without huge loss.

The strongest songs off the album are I Abstain, Dementia Access, Idiosyncratic, and Aryanisms.

This is a fun album, but everything before this is superior.

I Abstain has these riffs that crush you but also remain so damn catchy.

I just got the new 2018 Earache vinyl reissue of this the other day and it sounds so badass. "I Abstain" is my second favorite Napalm Death song ever and I can now crank it on vinyl whenever I want to scare or just flat out annoy my neighbors.

This album has potential to be really fucking good, but it turns out really repetitive, that's probably why i enjoy the closer so much

There are lower rated albums from 92 and this is nowhere to be seen among the 3.6 albums there
