This is a wonderful autumn album for sure. And @previous page discussion, the guitar work in this album especially is quite tasty, wonderful tone. Cover art matches the sound so well.

Oh that's super nice/very sad Johnny. It can be such a nice feeling though. With Supercar it's also this sense of melancholy and nostalgia, I think this record has that same wonderful feeling for me.

And agreed Boney, about both the guitar work and the cover.

Coldplay has always been such a winter band for me. Not sure why but I always seem to get into them around Christmas.

I feel Nov/Dec is optimal Coldplay season, can vibe this

"With Supercar it's also this sense of melancholy and nostalgia, I think this record has that same wonderful feeling for me."

For sure, though I love how that one packs in some darker psych-outs. The more I think about it, the amount of ground that band covered without deviating from that central bittersweet feel is pretty amazing. Maybe the Radiohead analogies aren't so dumb after all

I secretly think so too Johnny but let's not tell anyone!

Agreed Sowing, a nice winter album but I jam this all year round haha! Sometimes I'm a little embarrassed by this 5.0 but it absolutely is one.

In the end, aren't we all just closet Coldplay fans, hiding behind our keyboards and posting about them on the internet?

I'm not a closet Coldplay fan. I stand by their albums through Ghost Stories. Mylo being the worst, but still not bad.

It is. And one hell of a personal connection makes this into a classic for me. One of those childhood loves this one, we've been through a lot as cliché as that sounds.
