Hmmm... Iiinteresting. My DEP ranking is:

1. Ire Works

2. Miss Machine

3. Calculating Infinity

4. Option Paralysis

5. One of Us Is the Killer

6. Dissociation

Looking at it written down, yes, I'm aware that the last three happen to be in chronological release order (and fuck me, the top is the reverse), but it just happens to be my taste.

Unbelievably great band, and their 6th best obliterates many other bands' #1 release.

I think it speaks to a bands quality that any of their albums can be someone's #1. Irony is my favorite tho. This would be in the running if we're talking full lengths.

The band barely have a bad song, let alone any weak albums. One of the best bands ever.

Title track, Nothings Funny, Paranoia Shields. Those 3 bring down my rating drastically for this.

this is the dillinger album I find myself revisiting the most. not their most iconic but probably their most entertaining for me (option paralysis a very close second)

Yeah, this is my favourite from them. Probably because it was the first of theirs that I've heard in full but still, this album (and all other TDEP albums too tbf) just refuses to get boring.

you just don’t like the more mainstream tracks? Do you have the same issue with the rest of their records too?

Because honestly I love those tracks, and Greg really knows how to write a hook

"Because honestly I love those tracks, and Greg really knows how to write a hook"

Yeah, that's one of the great things about the band and it works amazingly well in the vast majority of cases, throughout their Greg-fronted discography.

IMO, the 'pop' elements really felt earned and a true extension of their creativity, opposed to it being purely commercial appeal.

Prancer is a banger and a half. One of my favourite album openers.
