check steve hacketts first record first!
|
| |
yeah, should check that out as well. I've really slept on a lot of these prog icons' solo stuff. you ever heard Chris Squire's Fish Out Of Water?
|
| |
Hackett's first solo album is easily the most essential of any of the solo albums by members from the big (well-known) classic prog bands.
|
| |
that so? I'll check it out either way.
|
| |
Yeah it's one of my top 10 prog albums. His solo discography as a whole is better than that of most prog musicians (although there are a couple of stinkers).
|
| |
some great music being bumped today. Think i'll give this a spin it's been awhile

the guitarist/singer in my band showed me this, good stuff

Didn't know you had reviewed this one, Atari! I'm spinning this one for the first time in a long while. Top notch record and one of my favorite folk-prog albums!
|
| |
cheers man :] top notch record for sure
yeah, I'm not the biggest prog fan out there, but folk-prog is pretty sick. Another obvious favorite would be Jethro Tull, but have you heard Strawbs?
|
| |
Same. I do like hearing folk influences in progressive music. You know, I'm not as familiar with Strawbs as I probably should be. I've heard From the Witchwood, but that was a long time ago and I don't really recall what I thought of it. Any record of theirs you'd recommend?
