It's not great, but at least some people aren't just hating it because it seems to be the thing to do.

What's the new S/T LP like, Willie?

Awesome. As long as you're an actual Queensryche fan and not just a Mindcrime fan. It's like Empire with fat riffs and a bit of The Warning thrown in with the dual harmonies and overall feel of the songs. It's definitely the heaviest thing they've done.

The remakes are terrible though. I was literally laughing out load when I heard I don't Believe In Love, especially the chorus.

Yeah, the remakes are total crap. He only did it for a bigger paycheck, so of course he's going to half-ass them. If you've seen the videos of him playing live with his new 'band' they can't replicate the songs.

Dude, so now that the other Queensryche has released their album, I have to say the Todd Le Torre fronted version is much better. Better songwriting, better melodies, better choruses, and better guitar (just listen to that dualing guitar... finally back). Hey, I'm a Queensryche fan from the start and therefore I have been a fan of Tate. Personally, I think Tate may have some mental issues with which he needs to address. I hate to see him fall so far, but his new music is terrible. There's a good song here and there, but the majority are not worth listening to (that includes the past five Queensryche albums). Todd fronted Queensryche killed Tate's version.

Agreed, and Tate has mental issues for sure......kind of sad because it really is an illness that needs to be treated.

No doubt. If he got some help, he could be a totally different dude and maybe this whole fiasco could have been avoided. That being said, I just don't know if that would have helped his musical direction. It's just a shame to see the band go down in flames. It was always nice that no drama was ever aired out; that they kept it all in-house. They were such a professional band. I think we've learned who the true professionals were. Although, some of the most disturbed individuals have created some great art throughout the centuries... Just wish Geoff was one of them.

"In the Hands of God" would be a pretty damn good song without the "Are you ready?" and other nonsense he throws in. I laughed and almost spilled my drink when that happened.

Just listened to this again and it's definitely a 'good' album. All the 1 ratings are just flat out ridiculous. Sound wise, it's definitely not 'Queensryche' and probably would've went over better as a solo project.

It's just a bad album, regardless of what the band is named.
