I personally prefer Overgrown to his self-titled, it feels more cohesive as a whole and the soundscapes are more complete. However, my favorite song of his is on the 2011 record ("I Never Learnt to Share").

i like the overgrown sound better too. it's fuller. i just miss how much music he was putting out.

this has a really consistent atmosphere to it and it more polished than s/t (which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you ask) but s/t was just so much more raw and emotionally powerful for me.

I've always found a couple of tracks in the second half of this to be a bit weak. To The Last is great tho.

That RZA verse is odd too.

tbh the entire album is kind of lacking in stand-outs. i honestly cannot pick any few tracks above the rest here. it just blends into one thing. on s/t i can pick out like 5 tracks that still blow my mind however.

Yeah this doesn't really have an "obvious" standout for me. It's just really consistent in quality that the whole album turns out great. S/t definitely had a bit more punch to it though.
