the whole conceptual theme with the album (little things like the small interludes, teh intro to prospect etc.) is what I really like about this album, I just feel there a few too many flaws to give this a 4.5-5 as some people are doing, however its only second listen so it's possible that could change

there are heaps of drum plugins you can get if you have the money/download bandwith to invest in them that sound quite realistic
addictive drums is one of the most popular ones but theres also EZdrummer and heaps others bro - just something you should not for future albums :}

What I'd really like to know, though, is what setup you use to record/write (you know, pc interface, vst, plugins, guitars, that kind of stuff), because I'm also producing a solo effort and I'm trying to get as much perspective as I can on the technical side.

Interesting choice of gear. Right now, I'm kinda struggling because I'm only a few weeks away from finishing my marketing degree, so it's been really busy. Thankfully, after that is done with, Summer's here, and I'll have plenty of time in my hands to finish my stuff. All I can say is that it will be a kind of dissonant mix between mathcore and post-hardcore, with a hint of prog. I'll definitely let you know when it's ready.
Oh, and it's really great that the community is giving you such a positive feedback, normally I'd expect a shitload of trolls giving you shit for no reason at all.
