I didn't expect them to go FULL atmosphere, but I kinda love this. They're really going above and beyond to do different things here and they're pretty damn good at it. The ethereal v i b e s are hitting.
Kinda funny how do many people feared a wankfest and the new album ain't even close.

Awesome man. Love to hear it. I have a soft spot for these guys. Literally had spiritual migration on repeat for months on end when i was like 22 years old.
Yea I feel like the new one is their most accessible album.
Some nice call backs to that album on Consciousness pt3.

I will always love Persefone so long as they can keep such consistent quality. The fact they're willing to take a pretty massive risk this far enough in their career is amazing to experience.
It'll take time to sink in, but I definitely think it's already on its way to receiving way too much hate. As is tradition.

I listened to I think the first 3-4 songs last night and they were pretty good

It's a perfect combo of Shin Ken, Spiritual Migration, and Aathma. They really merged all the realms.

Man they really just released some of their most inspired stuff. "Aware of Being Watched" is absolutely incredible.
They probably matched Aathma, I'm in love.

Yesterday I totally spit the album out, but I just didnt expect it to be that atmospheric as you previously said. I'm gonna have to rewire my brain in order to fully appreciate this, because was expecting a usual Persefone affair, but this definitely not that. It'll take a couple more listens to have set in stone opinion.

I figure it's gonna be divisive no matter what, but I think the flow and overall ambiance are incredible. In terms of full-on assaults, "Architecture of the I" is a fucking JAM and i still think "Katabasis" is amazing.

Perhaps it's not as riff-centric as some would hope, but I love that they took a risk and went for a massive change. Best bass they've had in a while too and I personally adore the keys presence, they feel very purposeful.

I'm starting to lean towards liking the risk too, it's definitely really really different from anything they've done before. On my second listen I was vibing more.

The second half might have been improved by having another banger in there, but I think I'm overall really positive on the whole. Amazing experience.

New album is the best thing they've done since Core

One more shorter banger could have been nice but other than that this is perfect. This seems like a direct response to someone thought they're more recent output was too sporadic. The intricacies come across so smooth it took several listens to realize they are as dynamic as ever. They just aren't beating you over the head with it this time, although I liked that too. At this point they have totally proven themselves. They hold that world-class Progressive band Mystique in a way thats wholly their own

They really conquered most of what they set their mind to, found something new to try and aced that too. I respect the hell out of them for putting together something so good while also taking a massive gamble.
Minus the missing second half banger (seems we can agree there), the flow they establish is perhaps second only to Core.

Yeah, they no longer are throwing rando stuff to check what sticks
Songwriting is very fluid and dynamic
Now I have three Persefone albums in my music library!

Pika being on my side is good karma, I'm blessed on this day.
Glad you hear the consistency, I was pretty baffled seeing people find any sort of wankery this go around.
