This is for me between a 3.5 and 4. Though I didn't find the song Blodsvept to be much fun I actually thought the rest of the album was really good. Very nice review! I really enjoyed reading it and I pretty much fully agree.

I did not get a Scandinavian vibe from this album. Tracks like "Rösets Kung" and "Skövlarens Död" are very clearly Baltic.

There were some cool parts, but I just couldn't get into the randomness (and, of course, the folk was a big turn-off).

Yea I know that folk isn't too big a turn on for you. Also, the randomness, so to say, is what makes or breaks this band to people. I think it makes them unique and their albums all sound fun to me, but this band definitely isn't for everyone.
